Other Books

The following list includes great books  with  plenty of  good illustrations.

"Living Jewels"  1, 2  -   these are perhaps my favorite !
Two fantastic books by  Poul Beckmann, in fact very unique - in the sense that he is a photographer and scientist. thus he provides unique explanations about how and why beetles' Elytra  is colored so, the very sophisticated optical effects employed for that purpose. His website is here, it has so many very high quality stunning photos !

"An Inordinate Fondness for Beetles" by Dr. Arthur V. Evans (former Director of LA Insect Zoo), his blog is "What’s Bugging You?" (also it's a name of his another book) - can truly feel author's fondness for beetles, which number is so huge that practically 1 in 5 of all living organisms on Earth is a beetle!

The Bugman's Guide to the Mysterious and Remarkable Lives of Things That Crawl
by  Daniel Marlos  (his very useful website : "What's That Bug?")

will add more eventually
